CDI is the abbreviation of non-contact capacitor discharge ignition system. The engine must be ignited by high-voltage electricity. The traditional method is to switch on or off the magnetic circuit of the ignition coil by means of a contact switch, so that the ignition coil has two primary and secondary ignitions. The induced electromotive force is generated in the primary coil to generate high voltage electricity. CDI uses capacitors and thyristor diode circuits instead of contact switches and other mechanical forms, that is, non-contact ignition.
